Exporting & Uploading Files

File Formats:
➩ WAV or AIFF Files or Pro Tools Session
➩ 16-24 bit / 48k-192kHz Resolution
➩ Include Rough Mixes and Reference Mixes

How to Export:
➩ Render Your Tracks from the Start of Your Song
➩ Separate Sounds into One Instrument Per Track
➩ Clip All files to the Same Duration
➩ Archive all Tracks into a .zip or .rar File

Pro Tools

Steps:
① Choose File > Save Copy In
② Check off “All Audio Files” and “Session Plug-In Settings Folder”. Hit “OK.” Now you will select where to save the file.
③ Select a location and click save.
④ Go to that location and compress (zip) the folder you just made.
⑤ Compress resulting folder and send to us.

Logic

Steps:
① Bring up your song, "Your Song."
② Click on File, Export, All Tracks as Audio Files.
③ Check “New Folder” and “Bypass effect plug-ins” to save the dry files in one folder. Also select 44.1k or 48k and .wav files in this section.
④ Click the save button to export.
⑤ In the session folder, compress the “bounces” folder with the generated files in them. Send that to us.

Ableton

Steps:
① Bring up your song, "Your Song."
② Use the Loop Start/Punch-in Point to select the entire length of your song.
③ Bypass all effects/plugins for all tracks.
④ Choose File, Export Audio/Video.
⑤ Here you can bounce each track individually by choosing which track to export (rendered track), or you can bounce all tracks. (When choosing All Tracks, Abelton will do a bounce for every track in the session, even tracks without anything on them at all, including return tracks.)
⑥ Make sure the bit depth and sample rate meet our requirements.
⑦ Choose Ok to bounce files.
⑧ Choose a destination folder and click save.
⑨ Compress resulting folder and send to us.

FL Studio

Steps:
① Bring up your song, “Your Song.”
② On the mixer, mute all unused tracks and turn off all effects.
③ Click File, Export, .wav file and make sure that 44.1k or 48k is selected.
④ Choose destination folder.
⑤ Check “Split by mixer track.”
⑥ Click Export.
⑦ Compress the resulting folder and send to us.

Reason

Steps:
① Bring up your song, "Your Song."
② Set up the Left and Right locators at the start and end of what you want exported.
③ Solo the first channel while bypassing the effects.
④ Select File, Export Loop As Audio File.
⑤ Navigate to a new folder and label it.
⑥ Hit Save, then select 44.1k or 48k and at least 16-bit, Hit Ok.
⑦ Repeat 3-7 for all separate tracks.
⑧ Compress resulting folder and send to us.

Garange Band

Steps:
① Bring up your song, "Your Song."
② Disable all automation, plugins, etc.
③ Solo the first track and select “Export Song to Disk” from the Share pull-down menu.
④ Make sure that the Compress box is left unchecked, be sure the files are set to 44.1k or 48k .wav files, click Export, and name the file according to the solo track’s contents.
⑤ Repeat steps 3 and 4 until all tracks are exported.
⑥ Compress resulting folder and send to us.
